Why?

I know many friends and family wonder why? Why India? Why not adopt here in the US? The need is just as strong, right? Trust us - we did weigh all of our options. We looked at not just international adoption but domestic, too. As we gathered facts and spoke to those in the field; our hearts were continually called to India. A friend posted this link - Why International Adoption? - and I think it is fantastic to answer this very heavy question.

Did you know there are 31 MILLION orphans in the country of India alone?  It is #1 in the WORLD in terms of number of orphaned children.

In 2013:

2306 children were adopted in to the US from China
993 children were adopted in to the US from Ethiopia
483 children were adopted in the the US from Ukraine 
119 children were adopted in to the US from India


The need is there and it is great.
